Web developer, born in 1989.
I come from Castelnovo ne’ Monti (in the Emilian mountains), grown up among the scent of pine forests, important friendships, the ties of country life and the desire to connect with the world.
When I was a child I consumed bicycles and VHS tapes. I’ve always been attracted by technology and moved by a passion for creativity: drawing, animation, cinema, music…
Passions and experimentation
I have learnt the english language right away (thanks to my mother, an english teacher) and the use of computers (thanks to my father, construction engineer and physics teacher).
Then I experimented some different things: I have been an instructor in an adventure park and in a wooded paintball field. I studied computer engineering in Parma for a short period, there I have learnt the basics of programming in C, C++ and Java (especially object-oriented programming) besides the use of relational databases (SQL).
I launched myself in the world of work as a web developer and designer
I started by collaborating with Fabio Gualtieri (friend and colleague). One of our first projects has been Fotoapp.it (coded on a CakePHP base), a portal for sharing and printing photographs promoting the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
I then started a remote working collaboration as front-end developer for Black Studio (web design and comunication office based in Carpineti, province of Reggio Emilia, Italy). These collaborations trained me professionally and enriched me on a personal level.
My first specialization has been in the development of showcase websites, ecommerce sites and subscription-based portals based on WordPress, through the installation, editing and creation of plugins and ad-hoc themes, and structured management of custom post types.
Personal experimentation led me to learn other platforms, languages and workflows. Among them: SASS, Python, Git version control.
In 2017 I decided to enroll in a two-year master Web Design PTP at the Institute of European Design in Florence, to keep up-to-date, explore new realities in the sector and acquire new skills. The educational experience and the city of Florence were very meaningful to me.
The thesis project that I proposed together with some classmates, entitled “Adidas Video Hacking”, consisted in the creation of prototypes for a web portal and a physical installation connected to it, commissioned by Adidas®. The aim of the project was to allow the public to customize a promotional video through an interface that reproduced the experience of a graffiti artist. The outcome was extremely positive and, together with the performance during the course of studies, earned me the grade of 110 and honors.
From September 2018 to March 2021 I have been employed as a full-stack developer at Antherica Srl, where I found a collaborative and stimulating work environment. I had free rein in the design and implementation of fully customized web applications: e-learning platforms, sports ranking systems, multi-brand e-commerce with sales agents. I also dedicated myself to the creation of hybrid apps for Android and iOS based on Cordova and Angular.
Since March 2021 I am employed at Pindarica Srl, as full-stack developer. Beside WordPress based development, a few Magento projects and managing of LAMP-stack servers, I am dedicating myself to the development of e-commerce portals integrated with company management systems.
